Working Syracuse is a podcast that I managed in my final semester of graduate school. Inspired by the work of Studs Terkel, the podcast focuses on the blue collar workers of Syracuse, New York and how they derive meaning from their jobs and their lives. Click here to listen!
Souled magazine is an ode to soul food—its spices, aromas, people and everything in between. Souled honors a food on which the culinary backbone of America rests, and importance, like much of African-American history, has been erased. It brings the world of an exciting polyglot cuisine served across America and based off the innovation of slaves to a modern audience. Souled goes beyond the pots and pans to examine how the politics of soul food are an integral part of America’s foodways.
